When I first heard about the product, I assumed the word "caviar" was just marketing, but the cream actually contains a caviar extract, which firms and lifts skin like an invisible scaffolding, while boosting the production of collagen and ceramides, which help to retain moisture.

Personally, I also found the packaging to be quite lovely – the cobalt blue jar is inspired by the placid Swiss lakes and designed in a Bauhaus style. It is intended as an homage to the fusion of the worlds of science and art, both of which are central to the La Prairie brand.
