I receive a lot of DMs and emails asking how to start as an influencer and how I get free products, so I've decided to share some apps and websites where you can shop...for free!!! 🤫
My absolute favorite influencer app is Octoly! It’s a French app, and as a result, it has many of my favorite brands from 🇫🇷, including Dior, Clarins, Diptyque, Caudalie, Christian Louboutin, Lancôme, Guerlain as well as many others from the U.S. and elsewhere. You choose your products, send your offer, and the brand can approve or decline your offer. If approved, you receive your free products within 7 days, and you have 21 days to post your review on Instagram or YouTube.
The next app is Brandsnob. This app is from Los Angeles and started as paid collaborations only app, which was fantastic. Unfortunately for us creators, they've reduced the number of paid jobs and now it's more or less a gifting app with a wide range of products starting with designer clothing, caffeine water, face massagers, protein powders, as well as toiletries, kitchen supplies and other random stuff. You tell the brands what kind and how many posts you’re willing to do, how much time you need and your rate, so there's a bit more freedom. This app has fewer established brands than others in the space.
The next app is Trend. I don’t use this one very much but it has a lot of food items, such as teas and coffees, bars, chips, chocolates and even flower boxes.
Trendship also has a whole variety of both products and services! Free hotel stays, dinners, drinks, as well as items for kids and guys, skincare, clothing, accessories, candles and kitchen supplies.
I don’t think you have to be an influencer to use Influenster – it’s a review app and you get free stuff in exchange for your reviews. All the products are from big brands and it’s more about the review than about an Instagram post, however, posting on your social media increases your chances to win bigger freebie boxes!
Finally, there a lot of free food and drink apps for models such as Neon Coat, Into, Nova, Beauty Pass, Model Village, but you have to be affiliated with an agency in order to enjoy them!
